Handle broke. Grainy metal in the break. I think that may indicate it's not hardened metal. But if you use it more lightly it may work well. It is a pretty cool axe.

I received my acts about a week ago when I got it I took it out to review it I actually had it slipped and it hit my left thumb with about what I would consider maybe a pound of pressure it actually put a 1 in cut on my thumb wasn't deep but it showed me how sharp this thing really is. Very well made balanced well fit your hand well I don't know what else I can say except for the price you can't go wrong.

Ordered two of the 6 inch plus hatchets , as you can see from the pick ive attached, one has a bad noticable gap in the handle and the other one had a loose silver handle topper piece, i didnt include that pik, the 3rd pic ive included shows the piece im referencing, it was rattling around on top of handle so 3 stars max for lack of quality control. Almost got it right,otherwise cool piece

Bought this as a gift for a friend. On initial inspection it seems to be a really good looking and quality built ax. Worth the price!
