It isn't always easy to find pretty, modest, everyday dresses for my girls--who only like wearing dresses & skirts.I got a red dress for my preteen. I didn't measure her before I ordered, but I did size up one from her normal size. As expected, she has some growing room, but it still fits well now. I like the modest neckline & armholes. She loves the flutter sleeves. As the product description states, the dress IS lightweight. The red dress works, but I'm not sure how opaque a lighter color would be. I'd personally prefer a slightly heavier fabric, but this will be cool in the summer. The tag recommends washing in a laundry bag, which I plan to do.The button placket is completely decorative (no gaping at the buttons or hemline). I'm seriously contemplating ordering more colors for her & her younger sister.

Got this for my 8yr old. I chose the green color in her size. She tried it on, and it fit good on her. The material is soft and comfortable and lightweight. She likes the way the dress looks. At the current price, it is a good value for your money.Overall, she is happy with it and so am I.
