First off, this is not a KitchenAid replacement. I say that because what I really wanted was a Mix Master from KitchenAid, but I didn't want to spend the money nor did I think I really needed a heavy-duty mixer. With that said, I chose this stand mixer based on reviews. I have used it five times since I bought it a month ago. I love it.Pros: It does the job. It is lightweight, which means it is easy for me to lift out of the cabinet below the counter. It sticks like the "dickens" but that just keeps it from moving around. It mixes well, and I have only used the 1-2 settings. It is very easy to clean. Cons: I cannot think of any. Not as verstatile as the bigger and more famous one, but then I wasn't going to shell out $500 for a mixer to use occasionally.I am a casual baker, that is all. I have made three batches of cookies and two different quick breads. I made muffins the other day, and while I didn't need to use the mixer to mix the batter, I did anyway. I love the ease of this mixer, the size, and the three attachments (whipping, dough, and general beating) are perfect for my needs. I would highly recommend this mixer for anyone looking for a small stand mixer that can handle every day baking needs.

not complicated to use. it's your basic mixer, and you can bake many cake recipes with it. have not tried it yet using hamburger meat, but i imagine it will be good to use for blending ingredients with the ground meat.the baking enthusiast will be happy with this mixer's features. i like the whisk and the paddle hook. good size, comes with a deep bowl so sometimes you won't need to use the splash guard at all! the different speeds make for efficient handling.

I've been using this for a few months. It works great. Easy to clean, very good on space. And the most important is it's a very good price.

Update May 17th 2018: First time ever made pizza dough on this on Speed 1 with hook. 2 cups bread flour to 2/3rds cup warm water. and 1.3 tbsp oil. Kneaded it 10 mins as per instructions with a fistful or 2 of flour thrown in so not to get sticky. Had to shut off and scrape 2 to 3 times. BUT, the motor didn't strain, there was some head shaking but not seriously so, and no heat production. Although there was some plastic grating noise and I assume it's from the plastic gears inside. This small mixer can be used for dough if only as instructed and shut off before motor gets hot or strained. I wouldn't do it more than 10-15 mins max without shutting even on low. For keeping this for a longer time and not run it to the ground as what happened to a customer here in 6 months of usage. This is also good for absolute beginners, teenagers etec who are willing to use it as a learning tool and graduate pretty soon to something higher. Definitely not meant for years and years of usage. Of course if you use it only a few times a year, it can last you years and years.I was planning to return it and get something else but since I did try it out, (you have to use it to try it) I can't return. I don't want to now and think that this will be good enough to continue with. Most everything had huge bowls and I find the 4 qt on this large enough.Update: I tried today with the bread hook and the whisk. Whisk first for whipping yeast and water at 4. Then bread hook after adding oil and wet ingredients flour and dry ingredients together, following a recipe by a customer on the Bosch Compact site (never baked bread before). Used at speed 2 as the mixture was thin like thick cake batter and not thick like pizza dough. Seemed to work fine at speed no problems. But had to scrape down the sides to centralise everything. That one will have to do on this. Do not know other expensive ones as this is my first stand mixer. That's not a problem either. One think I liked was that it has a cover for the motor parts, which some of the others don't have at this price point, The motor doesn't seem ultra powered or for heavy duty baking, but for a complete beginners and occasional this is fine to start with if judiciously used. The bowl has a plastic base to lock in and from other reviews I realise that there's no replacement for this one but is there for the 63325; it's brother/sister. That is completely stainless steel even at the locking base area. Another thing I noted that the bowl is deep being 4 quarts, but for my needs the 3.5Q 63325 would have been more than enough. One loaf pan of bread was at the bottom third of the bowl. (2.5 cups of flour.)Will update when I make pizza dough. That and heavy cookie dough will prove the muster of this cute stand mixer. Like I said if it lasts 2 years of my leaning curve (can't get warranty as bought "used like new"), I will be happy and graduate to another level of stand mixers.I just received it today and havent tried it yet. Bought a used like new where they said packaging would be damaged and paid 71 dollars including tax. The box looked as it was repackaged after opening previously and the white plastic cover was torn. Everything was intact and fine. So i know it has been bought and returned by someone. Some slight dust on top but i can see wasnt used. So 20 dollars less is ok. I havent baked before. Not sweet things like cakes pies etc and i want to get my hands wet with something was cheap but somewhat durable and has a name. I would progress to a Kenwood in the future. But for starting a brand new hobby this should be ok. I also have 225 W 6 speed GE hand mixer with sturdy durable beaters and dough hooks. I will write more after i try dough for roti or burritos.I wanted light and compact to keep out for my small kitchen.

I own a Bosch, a KitchenAid and this mixer. The KitchenAid is a beast to break out. The Bosch I use for bread. The Hamilton-Beach is used for baking. It's light and has a much smaller footprint than the KitchenAid. I have been using it for the last 8 months mainly baking from the James Beard Award winner for outstanding baker Joanne Chang's Flour series of cookbooks. In that capacity this mixer has performed just as good as the KitchenAid with one exception, when scraping down the sides during mixing (which should be done with both machines) the Hamilton-Beach needs the bottom of the bowl scraped as well. Don't buy this machine expecting to make bread it is not built for that. Either is the KitchenAid in my opinion. For cakes, frosting, cookies, pie dough, quick breads, muffins etc it has performed well and the price can't be beat. Just bought a second one for my daughter who also enjoys baking. If you purchase this machine just make sure it's for the right use and it will not disappoint.
