I use this juicer every day for months in a row. I have it for over 2 years and it still works very nicely. The motor is strong enough for all the varieties of oranges and grapefruit I have been using with it.In a few minutes, the fresh juice is squeeze and I can clean the juicer under the water in the sink so easily. The only downpart is that I cannot fit my tall glasses underneath since the footing is too low. I had to put a piece of granite slab underneath to make it higher.I recommend this juicer for anyone who wants something that does not take too much space on the counter (mine remains on the counter all year long) and that is easy to take care of.

I'm using this wonderful citrus juicer every morning, and I absolutely love it.I've tried other citrus juicers, from manual (old school) hand juicers, to compression-style juicers, to electronic juicers like this one, and this is my favorite so far. (Those other juicers were a chore to use and clean up. This juicer is easy to use, quickly gets the most juice from the fruit, and clean-up is a breeze.)The Hamilton Beach citrus juicer is ready to use as soon as you open the box. Of course, it's always smart to wash anything that will come in contact with food, first. (I ran the cup, etc., through the dishwasher. All of the parts -- except the base with the motor in it -- are dishwasher safe.)Also, when you reassemble it, make sure the black, hinged spout is open. (Mine arrived in a somewhat closed position that slightly restricted juice flow, but once I opened it, it's stayed open since.)The juicing process is exactly what you expect: Cut the fruit, press it onto the juicer (with your hand), and watch the juice flow into the cup. Around the second day, I browsed the included instruction manual (it's in English, French, and Spanish), but it didn't tell me anything I hadn't figured out on my own.The juicer includes two reamers. One nests on top of the other. The larger one is for oranges and grapefruit. The smaller one is for lemons and limes, etc. I've used the larger one for all of my citrus juicing, and it's worked fine, even with the smallest lemons and limes. The suction cup feet hold securely. Even if you try, it's nearly impossible to knock the juicer over once it's in use, and it doesn't "walk" as you juice, either. The juicer has an auto-reverse feature, so you get every last drop of juice out of oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and limes. I'm impressed. I'd bought this to supplement a centrifugal-style juicer (not very good for citrus), and the volume of juice from this Hamilton Beach juicer... wow! It's an economical way to get the most from citrus fruit.Generally, I get about two cups of juice from four oranges.Clean up is simple. The parts are sleek, so they rinse clean with no effort.I tried using the mixer/strainer that's included, and it works well enough, but I like some pulp in my juice. So, I'm not using that. (Besides, the metal strainer catches most seeds and the largest pulp before the juice reaches your cup. For those who want maximum pulp, it's easy to scoop the extra pulp out of the metal strainer, and stir the pulp into your fresh-squeezed juice.)I'm juicing four oranges and an occasional lemon or lime, every morning. I've had no problems with the spout clogging... and absolutely no problems with this juicer, in general. The motor doesn't seem to heat up at all, even with aggressive juicing. I'm expecting this juicer to last a long time. It's very powerful, and gets the job done well and quickly. The clear plastic storage lid makes this juicer look very attractive, so I leave it sitting on my kitchen counter. It's attracted favorable attention from visitors, who say they want a juicer like that, too.The best part...? Fresh citrus juice tastes about a thousand times better than anything you can buy at the grocery store, including "not from concentrate" juices. There's no comparison. Great taste, and it's healthy!Tips:- Valencia oranges are among the sweetest. I find bags of organic Valencia oranges at our local warehouse-style store.- If you want a little extra zing, juice a very small lemon or lime (or half a regular-sized one), and add it to your orange juice.- If your oranges have thick, sturdy skins: After you cut the orange in half, cut it again -- crosswise, as if you were going to cut it in quarters -- but just cut about 1/3 of the way down and then stop. That makes it easier for the orange to open more fully... the juicer motor doesn't have to work as hard.- If you clean your juicer right after you've used it, it rinses sparkling clean, easily. No elbow grease required!

We lived in mexico for 4 years and made fresh orange juice every morning. We went through several juicers and have already worn out our first one back here in Canada, where we continue to juice oranges every morning. This is easily the most efficient and solid juicer we have ever had for an excellent price. Highly recommended!

Motor is still noisy but it is better than other models in similar price range. The parts are easy to remove for cleaning. I have only used it twice and therefore do not know how long the motor will last. I went through two juicers in the last 5 years. One lasted 4 years and the second one lasted only 1 year.

I was of the opinion Hamilton beach products will be a good ones. However this juicer failed within less than a year. I have used this only occasionally. The cone stopped working but motor was operating. I just removed the screws and found a nylon gears coupled with the motor and cone shaft. the nylon gear so small and flimsy it broke and no more transmit the power to the cone. I also noticed lot of nylon dust inside the juicer mechanism.. This is a poor engineering design. Not worth the money we pay.
