These beanies are super basic, kind of thin, and sort of ugly... and they are perfect. Here's the deal - my house is freezing cold all winter long. Built over 100 years ago, zero floor insulation, ancient heating system, and my office is in what is essentially the semi-finished enclosed porch. I'm freezing all day every day from November through March. Wearing a normal to heavy weight beanie every day is annoying, they fall down over my forehead, they make me sweaty, and its just a lot to wear a heavy knit beanie for ten hours a day. These sort of terrible beanies are the perfect solution. They are lightweight, fairly tight, and stay in place while keeping my head warm and not weighing me down. They aren't very trendy or cute but by gosh they are perfect for just wearing around the house all day trying not to freeze to death.

I have a medium size helmet fit but these are too big by a large margin. I wanted them for wearing under bike helmets in the winter but they're just too big so they bulk up. Bummed because the thickness was perfect for what I wanted.

This is definitely designed like a slouch beanie. Unless your head is shaped like a cone or you have a lot of hair you're trying to fit under it, there will be extra space/material on the top.Also, the beanie is made from a thinner material. It's more of a mild weather/fashion statement beanie than one designed to keep you warm in freezing temperatures.It seems to be made ok and for the price of two for $10, it's a decent deal. Just know that it's a slouch beanie and it's made from thin material.
