We got this to add some music to our pool/spa and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. After an initial charging from a wall adapter the solar panel does a good job keeping the battery topping up out in sunny socal. The sound quality was surprisingly rich and detailed and is a huge plus given the frequency of cheap sounding waterproof speakers. This also has TWS functionality so you can pair it with another for true stereo. The only thing that is missing is a remote.It's quite heavy and solidly built. One negative is that it smelled HORRENDOUS at first, but given that its an outdoor speaker it was easy to just leave ourdoors. It finally offgassed after some time outside.While neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive, I'd say that this fits as a solid competitor in its price range and a good value.

so far, so good. I highly recommend this product. The sound qualities outstanding and it approximate close enough to a rock that it blends in with our landscaping. Connects via Bluetooth to your phone and it’s super easy to set up.We have been using our Amazon Alexa speakers outside, but they’re not waterproof, and they are our indoor speakers, so we have to move them in and out as we use them. The only problem is the speaker is not Alexa enabled so I can’t command play with my voice. But whatever I play on Alexa, I can stream from my phone, so it’s fine.I can’t comment yet on the solar charging. The speakers are in my backyard under a tree, and also in the shade of my house. It likely won’t be until mid summer until I can evaluate whether it charges adequately from the sun. however, it’s easy enough to recharge and it holds the charge for a long time.

I'm really impressed with the sound quality of this speaker. It's not really convincing as a rock, but it puts out crystal clear sound with adequate bass, for the size. Time will tell if it's actually waterproof or if the solar charging continues to work well, but I'm hopeful for some music-filled summer days in the sun.

Works well. Easy to connect. Reasonable sound. Long battery life. I like this speaker and we'll be using it a lot this summer.Out of the box the speaker is heavier than I would have thought. It looks pretty much like a rock, especially from a distance when it's facing you. There is an included cord with a plug block for charging. It was charged to 80%, which shows on my phone when it's connected. Another few minutes plugged in and it was at 100%. Connection was as easy as any bluetooth device.In use, the speaker performs well. Don't expect Bose type sound, but it's just fine for the patio or pool. The bass is decent and the overall range of sound is OK. There is some distortion when it's turned up loud. It does get plenty loud. The operation buttons are covered with a waterproof silicone cover which can be removed for easier operation.I tested the battery overnight for a total of 15 hours at a moderately low volume. After that much time the battery percentage (as seen on my phone's bluetooth screen) was 60 %. The specs say it will last 5 hours at "full power", which I assume is full volume. The battery would probably last a very long time with normal use at a low volume based on my test. I charged it in the sun for 4 hours and the percent of charge increased from 60% to 80%. The specs state that it would take up to 30 hours of sunlight to fully charge. Based on my expected use times and volume, I may never have to plug it in.I'm pleased with this speaker and will use it often this summer. The price point may be a bit high for what is provided, but for the last while there has been a 20% coupon on Amazon which makes the price very reasonable. For that reason I'm not removing a star for price. 5 star review.

The Herdio rock solar-powered Bluetooth speaker is a fantastic addition to my pool area! It blends perfectly with my desert landscape thanks to its realistic rock design and durable fiberglass resin casing. The solar charging is super convenient (30 hrs under sunlight, or 2 hrs via cord), and it lasts up to 7 hrs at 80% power. IPX7 waterproofing handles rain/weather and pool splashing like a champ. The angled design and dips in the casing ensure water rolls easily off of the unit. Bluetooth 5.3 connects effortlessly up to 49 ft, and the TWS stereo sound is impressive for outdoor use. Love the included fast-charging cable and adapter. I have the 4" version which I had concerns about the bass level on prior to ordering, but it still rocks the low end fairly well. If you want more bass, there are large sizes available. Perfect for outdoor parties—highly recommend!
