This was my third Aroma kettle. the first lasted 5 years, the second 3 years and the 3rd and last one 1 1/2 years. As you can see the quality has declined. The issue as documented by others is the lid won't stay closed. Since the most recent and last purchase is beyond the one year warranty, customer service conveyed there was nothing they could do.

This electric kettle was purchased to replace one that had gotten too old and corroded. It heats up quickly and stands up to almost daily use in our house. It does get hot because of the stainless steel but cools down quickly enough, so we haven’t had any issues with getting burned accidentally. The kettle is a bit noisy as it heats up, but since it’s very quick, it doesn’t really bother me. All in all, it’s a great electric kettle. Recommend highly.

This is my 3rd Aroma Electric Kettle. Average life span, and always good! This one is more modern and sleek, and it is quieter, and it has a better water filter at the spout. I like the blue off/on light. The base is better and heavier, and the wire is also heavier. This is a good, reliable, safe brand. Keep at it, Aroma!
