Nice micrometer stand. Easy to use. Doesn't have rubber feet, so it can slide around on the bench/table. May need to put rubber feet on. That would be my only improvement suggestion. Good weight.

Item is not that quality in finishing, there are bubbles in the paintings.

I use this to hold a pin micrometer for measuring case neck thickness of new rifle brass - very precise, tedious work. This stand is adjustable so i can set it at the best angle for relieving neck strain while still seeing the markings on the mic. Clamps are solid and hold the position as long as needed. Very useful.

Casting is smooth with no rough edges, paint job is good. The clamping mechanism is a bit sloppy when loose but the jaws close parallel and once it is snug it holds securely with no wiggle while using the micrometer. Firm padding on the clamp jaws protects the instrument being held. Overall a good value, though I do not have a high end micrometer vise to compare. Happy with my purchase!

I use this base to hold my ball micrometer to measure case neck thickness. This base makes the task much easier because 1) it's heavy; and 2) it has non-skid material on the bottom of the base. Very good value for the money.
