And to think I've been driving all these years without a proper tire thumper. Never again. Three suggested improvements: 1) a slightly larger diameter would give a better grip, 2) a tad more length wouldn't hurt either, after all, some tires are harder to reach than others, 3) an abraded grip surface would enhance retention during vigorous thumping sessions, and 4) the nylon lanyard is entirely too thin; beef it up, after all, we're talking about a major league tire thumper here.

What a great tool! So many uses for this Thumper Authority tool! I plan on keeping this in my truck mainly as a self defense tool as unfortunately I had a bad experience not too long ago stopping on the road to try to help someone out. I could have used this then.This is extremely well made and finished. It is made from hickory wood which is renowned for its hardness and durability. Police and military batons were made of hickory for years until the new carbon fibre materials came along. This thumper is oblong shape which gives you a better grip than a round shape would. It also has grooves turned into the handle to enhance your grip even further. A nylon lanyard on the end to put your wrist through so it is not dropped or so it can not so easily be taken from you. It is nicely finished in a semi gloss sealer or varnish.This is American grown hickory and milled and turned in the USA as stated in the description but does not mention specifically where any of this is done so I will take their word on this. All in all this is a great tool with many uses and at the price point a excellent value!

Purchased this as a gift for my Husband. He loves it!!! Nice product and great durability. I also like the fact that it is made in the USA. Would definitely recommend this product and would buy it again.

Length is good for sliding alongside drivers seat. strong and sturdy. Certainly won't break thumping any hard object.
