This holder looks exactly like you'd expect- the edge AA's may give you a bit of trouble getting in initially, the plastic is malleable and not brittle but does hold the battery in tightly. It has 2 screw mount points or you can use double sided sticky options.

It wasn't super clear from the posted picture how these might be wired, but they *are* wired in serial, to give 6V total output voltage once all 4 AA batteries are inserted.You might want to put a drop of glue on the wire in the back, to keep it from protruding and snagging on some neighboring part.
