This pen not only look beautiful in person, but it write just lovely. I is a nice quality pen one would not be disappointed in my opinion. I purchased this pen with my own money. I got the Nib and it write like a so if you want a more fine line then I say go with a if it comes it that. It is not a dry nib the ink flow nicely and it is comfortable in the hand. I enjoy writing with this pen.

This is a beautiful pen that writes so very smoothly and comes at a very good price! I enjoy writing with this pen. I do wish it had an ink window so you could see when your ink is getting low or that you have refilled it adequately. I am new to piston fill fountain pens, but I really enjoy this pen.

Packaging & Accessories: 8/10The pen came in an oval metal box and included a tool to take out the piston mechanism in the pen. The fact a wrench is provided in unusual even for pricier pens and this is a nice touchAesthetics & Quality (10/10)I chose the white marbled pen. It is something different from what I usually get and it has a nice chatoyance under direct light. The other advantage is that you can kind of see the ink level: the pen has no ink window. Nonetheless, then pen has a lot of nice detailing: a top gold medallion with the Hongdian dove and what it seems an olive branch, the cap tapers down to a gold band where Hongdian and N12 are stamped into it and the another small gold ring close to the black piston knob. The cap unscrew win 1.25 turns (nice!) to reveal a black nib section and gold plated steel nib with the Hongdian lotus. The aesthetic is nice and not overdone. The pen sits really well in the hand and is very comfortable. I usually do not post my pens, but this pen can post, even though not firmly (so don't post).Weight and Dimensions: 8/10The pen is about 5.5" when capped and it weighs about 25g. It is a long pen but light. It doesn't tire the hand the section is comfortable.Nib & Performance: 8/10The nib is gold colored and very smooth. The nib has a tiny tiny bit of flex, but it is stiff (see writing sample). It is a #6 nib that can be replaced with other Hongdian nib (the nib unit unscrews) and possibly other #6 nibs as well even though I have not tried that. I got a fine and it writes like a fine (0.5mm based on the Richard Binder chart). The feed is black plastic and showed no hesitation at first start. Overall very smooth with a tad of feedback (the way I like it) . The piston mechanism is smooth and easy to disassemble. I used the one for about two days and it has always started as soon as I picked it up (I can't say the same for my more expensive Maiora Aventus).Cost & Value: 10/10For about $28 you get a smooth writing, very classy looking acrylic pen with a piston mechanism. You also get a wrench for maintenance and the one can use various nibs.Conclusion: (44/50 –88%)Overall a great pen. It is good sized, always starts, smooth writer )with the possibility of exchanging nibs and experimenting at that) with a piston that can be disassemble (in case you need to).
