I ordered this for my Mom's bedroom door. He original knob broke, and I was concerned this wouldn't fit properly because of the backing part that it has. It took me, a complete novice, less than 10 minutes to install onto her door with a cordless screwdriver and it fits securely.The components are well made, the whole thing is really nice quality. It looks fantastic!It has been in operation for three months now and had zero issues in that time - it never gets stuck, is never difficult to turn, 100% reliable.We are entirely pleased with this fancy doorknob. Completely fair price for the quality and functionality.

This is a very lovely glass knob. Images in description are true to product. The gold is a nice pale brushed gold, not at all brassy. Looks sophisticated and I really like it.Installation was straight-forward and fit easily to replace our previous knob.I deducted a star because of 2 things: 1) the detailed ridges on the knob, though not sharp, are not what I call comfortable. Using the door knob is less exciting than looking at the knob, 2) there's a strong resistance about 1/2way through the turn, even if it hasn't been latched closed - which makes me think I'd caution against installing it in a home where anyone has limited mobility or a tough time squeezing/turning. Perhaps someone who understands more than I do about the inner workings of door knobs would know how to adjust this; my review is simply based on my experience, without adjustments made.

The crystal passage door knobs are beautiful, and are extremely easy to change from your old knobs to these. The knobs have a very heavy weight to them, and you can tell that they are made of quality material just by the weight of them. They will freshen up your your doors. They are lovely to look at; you will be surprised with the ease of changing your old knobs out with these new, beautiful ones. You will be amazed at how nice looking your doors will become with just a little switch out!

I learned this the hard way when one of my knobs broke off due to the force exerted during the adjustment process. That said, with proper installation and careful handling, I have used over ten of these glass knobs daily, and only one has failed under such circumstances.If you're installing these knobs on a pre-existing door, be prepared for some modifications. The latch assembly and the cylinder are larger, requiring more space to operate smoothly. You will need to increase the size of the existing holes, which can be easily achieved with a larger drilling bit if you don't have a hole saw kit.One of the standout features of these knobs is the quality of the gold-tone base. Despite frequent daily use, the base has not tarnished or chipped, maintaining its pristine look. For anyone wanting to upgrade or achieve a specific vintage style that looks both elegant and long-lasting, these HOSOM Glass Door Knobs are a no-brainer. I recommend these for homes occupied by adults only due to children playing and things getting out of control sometimes.
