This is a perfect little device to stash in your car glove box and I recommend everyone have one in their car. Where I live, it’s common to get In your car on a random day and find that the weather has changed and your tires are now below regular pressure levels. Having this device in your car makes it easy to pump your tires and not have to worry about the hassle of finding a gas station or driving in unsafe conditions.

Que la pompe électrique semble un bon produit à première vue.

The pump was bigger/bulkier than I thought and definitely heavier than I anticipated, so you're certain to notice it if you tote it your back pack while biking. It did perform well enough, but only tested in on a set of small dolly wheels & bike tires and not on large automotive tires. But as I did carry a larger 12V plug-in compressor in my truck, this is a space saver and does away with the cord. It comes with a short USB A charging cord, so need to get with the times and get a longer USB C cord for best charging. No other attachments included to make this a more versatile inflator for things like a pool toy or inflatable lounger. So if you think you were going to pack this in your luggage on a trip to the beaches of the Carribean, expecting it to be "lightweight" to quickly inflate a large inflatable Zebra for your kids so as to save your lungs... this is not it. But keep it stored in the vehicle (or in the garage) for when you need to inflate a low tire or soccer ball, it will certainly do the trick and won't take up a great deal of space.

This portable pump is about the size of six smartphones stacked up -- a fairly solid brick. It's about the minimum size it could be, given the pump mechanism required to do its job, and the battery that required to do it.When I removed the unit from its packaging it had 3/4 bars of energy so I was curious to start using it before charging it further. I was able to bring four tires from about 40psi to 42psi, and then three more tires from 31psi to 33psi before it stopped working. I charged the battery up to full, and then finished the job. After charging to 4 full bars, and then using the pump to bring a fourth tire from 31psi to 33psi, then four tires from 33psi to 35psi, the unit still displayed four bars of charge. So I don't know how that works.I purchased this portable pump to replace an aging one that I bought at a local auto parts store. My old pump needed to be plugged into a cigarette-lighter port, and had a screw-on chuck to attach to the tire valve. The cord was not necessarily a problem, since it was long and reached through windows where necessary, but the screw-on chuck would always let out precious air when removing it from the inflated tire. If I inflated it to 42psi, then it might be 41psi by the time I removed the pump, so I tried many things to try to minimize that loss. I realize now that, if I had gone back to the auto parts store, I might have been able to get a clip-on chuck that would screw onto the end, so that I could convert the screw-on chuck to a clip-on chuck. But now I have this pump. When I'm done filling the tire, I just open the clip and I get a brief pop but that's it -- no more hissing and stressing as I injure my fingers trying to unscrew the chuck as fast as I can.The two features that I like about this portable pump are its portability and its clip-on chuck. Simply walk up to your tire, unscrew the valve stem cap, clip the pump to the valve stem, and press the button. It only takes a minute or two for the 2 or 3 psi you typically need for something like a summer-into-fall or fall-into-spring adjustment (you lose about 1psi per 10 degrees Fahrenheit so it's best to 'top it off' as it gets cold, and let out some pressure as it gets warmer). There are a number of default settings for tire pressures -- bicycle, motorcycle, car, ball, and custom. They each come pre-set to a certain psi rating, and the manual says that the pre-set values can be changed. I tried doing this, but each time I moved to another setting, the set psi rating would change back to its original power-on default. I didn't see this as a downside, however. Having different cars, I have to set the pressure for each car differently anyways, and it's easy enough to press up and down to set it to 33, 35, or 42 before doing each set of tires. There are other nice things about this pump that I didn't make much use of. There is an LED on top that can be used to illuminate your work area, or as a roadside warning blinker. There are adapters for Presta valves and a needle for inflating balls. If there is a downside to this unit, it's a fairly trivial thing to me: the charge cable is short, and is only USB-A to USB-C. If I want to plug it into one of my car USB ports and leave it until it's charged, I'll have to provide my own USB-C to USB-C connector. But as it stands, most charger blocks have USB-A output so it's not a big problem. What is confusing -- and may not be a problem, just my one experience -- is that I plugged the battery-drained pump into a 2.0A charging block that I use to fast-charge my phone. The unit blinked its battery indicator once, then to all appearances seemed to not charge. I waited a few minutes and tried the pump but there were no signs of life at all. Plugging it into a different charger block, 1.5A this time, and the battery indicator blinked just fine until it was fully charged with four bars. So I don't know what's up with that. The unit comes with a nice drawstring pouch. The pouch is almost too small to fit the pump and its cable, but I managed to squeeze it in and it's in my trunk, ready to be used.Overall, this unit is handy and easy to use, and rates a 5/5. It's good at what it's meant to do, and although it does have its shortcomings, for a device that I use once or twice a season, it's great. Until they can figure out how to make the pump mechanism even smaller, this is probably as portable as it can get.
