Overall, nice tv tray or end desk use. Note that the top is smaller and the height is a little shorter than maybe a standard tv tray table. Pretty sturdy for tv tray standards. Because of the table size and my height expectations, I rated it a 4 . Otherwise, it would have been rated a 5 for me.

Looks good, sturdy, easy to unfold for usage or fold for storage. Weight is good and good value for the money.

Shipment arrived well packaged and sooner than expected. The tables are perfect for my room and need. They are a sturdy plastic (?) material but they are light enough to move around and easy to clean.

Sorry, but this is a long review. I just want to alleviate your concerns about the not so good reviews of these TV trays. These trays are perfect for my needs. I ordered 4 of these. I use them when I'm host for our card/game nights and weekly mahjong. We like to put a small try between two chairs around the table that you can set your drink and snacks, etc., on so that they are out of the way of the game and not on the table. I needed something high enough and sturdy enough that if you bumped it it wouldn't tip over. And I wanted something that stores flat easily under a bed or sofa or in a closet.I looked at the wooden ones that come with a stand, but if you look closely at the mechanism for holding them open you will see that there is a bar underneath the tray that just slides to one side to support the legs out in the open position. There is nothing that holds it snapped into place....so, if you happen to pick it up to move it, the bar could slide to the closed position and then you would have to fiddle with it to open up the legs so that you could set it back down. Not ideal. Same could happen if you bumped it...it could collapse accidently. Not good. Plus, the wooden ones are heavy when all stacked on the provided rack, and you need space to store the whole thing. So I set out to find something light weight and sturdy that wouldn't collapse easily.First, the shipping and packaging were spot on...each tray came in its own box with protective corner pieces and a plastic bag to prevent scratching. They even included extra plastic pieces that protect your floor. And all four were placed in a larger box. A little cumbersome, but manageable.Second, they are actually beautiful. I examined each one for flaws that were pointed out in other reviews and found none. And I love the gold tone metal. They are just pretty.Third, I love how the legs open and close. There isn't the "snap in place on the underside of the tray" that so many of the other metal versions have that the reviews say are so hard to unsnap so that you can close them. This version has a hinge down the side of each leg that is very easy to maneuver to open or close. It is stiff enough to hold the legs in the open position, and when you pick up the tray to move it, the legs don't collapse. And the hinge easily folds in to flatten them closed. As Goldilocks said, it was just right.Forth, they are more expensive as you have to order them individually, but I found that to be an asset as I don't have the room to store a stacking rack that takes up space. And if I want more, I can order as many as I need. I ended up putting them back in their own box and put them behind my sofa and under my bed where you can't see them. I don't use them daily, so it isn't inconvenient to store them in that manner.

This table is just what I have been searching for. I did not want a set of 4 heavy tray tables that store on a big bulky holder. I just wanted 1 folding table that I did not have to assemble. This table comes out of the box ready to use with no assembly needed. My living room is in gray and white tones and the top of this table is a faux marble look. It does not look cheap. However, it is not something I would leave out all the time. Folds flat enough to put behind a door if you chose. It is very well made. It is not big but large enough for a dinner size plate and glass. It folds easily and it light enough to move with one hand yet sturdy. If you need to use it for heavy items this might be too light weight. I feel this is better to have meal on in front of TV, or using for various things such as nuts, candy, etc for a gathering.
