I got this to use with a dock that didn’t have enough USB-A ports. It works great so far. Nice and compact, and provides the extra ports I needed.

I have a laptop with just two USB 3.0 ports, one of which I have a wireless mouse dongle plugged into. This splitter let me still plug in a USB flash drive and have two ports left to charge a phone or other device while I'm traveling.

***Update***I had been using it for about 7 months when it stopped working in my car. I guess the summer heat was too much for it. It stopped providing consistent power, making my dash cam flash on and off.______________________________________________________________________________________________I used this to supply power to my dash camera and Uber sign. This saved me from the hassle of running two wires from my center console to the rearview mirror.* I like the shape of this USB hub splitter. It gave me enough surface area to use heavy-duty velcro to attach this to my Windshield behind my mirror out of sight.* It has no problem handling the power demanded from powering both my dash camera and Uber sign.* The only way they could make this even better, was if they had a button to turn off the data. My car (2018 Ford Focus) kept giving me warning/error messages because it was receiving data from my dash camera, from the USB port I had it plugged into. I had to buy an adaptor to block the data signal and plug it into the ports of this device.

The adapter works well gives me 2 usb ports where I only had 1?before.
