If you have longer than a 30 inch inseam avoid. If 6'5 240 won't fit over my thighs comfortably. Doesn't cover my calves either strapped as tight as tolerable and there's a 3 inch gap at back. I'm returning. I was more interested in briars than snakes but I would need them at least 6 inches talle

First of all they do not totally cover my ankles and I had to wear boots because there is a gap at the back of the chaps in the ankle area.Most of the snakebite protection is between the ankles and knees with thick padding that covers my shins and wraps around my calf muscles with a strip of pad that folds over to cover the zipper in the back.The chaps do not have any padding covering the back of my knees and they do not have any snakebite padding above my knees. I also have to take my boots off to put the chaps on and then put my boots back on and that is kind of annoying. The chaps do provide some snakebite protection and they are comfortable once you get them on.
