The outer part is hard plastic and the inner part that the cables go through is soft rubber.Cleans up the mess of all your cables on the wall and now is hidden.Just made a 2" hole and it fits in perfectly.A fraction of the price of the big box store.

Good quality, flexible and inexpensive! Much cheaper than buying just 1 in a big box store.

I used these on some holes I drilled out on my deck, so I could run extension cable under the deck. I don't recall what hole drill bit size I used, but it was in a set I have for door knobs. Because they're near walls and not really exposed too much I felt this will hold up well. They're look nice, fit nice and snug with some caulk, and they're an inexpensive solution for something like that.

For those who didn't know what to expect (like myself), these are a hard plastic circle and rim, and the parts that give are flexible, but not overly so.I used these to plug the holes in the wall where I am running speaker wire. As others might have pointed out, they are perhaps a tad too small in the diameter, meaning that a 2" hole cut with a hole saw allows them to slip out with minimal force. Nothing a bit of electrical tape or some wedged cardboard can't solve, but I would have expected a bit more. Thus, I would recommend a less-convenient 1 15/16" or even 1 7/8" hole instead of a 2" if you want a natural, tight fit.One recommendation for the manufacturer: Provide a version that isn't presliced, so that people can only make holes or release the flaps as needed. That would help hide what's behind the grommet, and also (in my application) cut down on potential draft behind (not a big deal once again for me, as I also sprayed foam in the wall before inserting).
