Adds enough height but unfortunately did not allow for easy lid access like I’d hoped for my tank. I have a small 5.5 glass rimless and the legs sit on the crease.Otherwise, the light functions really well, and does what I need it to do. The optional color changes are fun for my daughter. I wish there was a four hour option, but I have it set to six hours to help control algae growth.

Hygger 978 LED aquarium light 48-54 inch on a aqueon 55 gallon. I have had this light since August 10, 2022 and have had no issues with it. I manually turn on and off the light every day. The auto timer is a little confusing and haven’t bothered with it. But the number of different color lights work awesome. I recently upgraded the hygger Aquarium Light High Holder Bracket, Suitable for Model HG978 Fish Tank Light and raised the lights like 2.6 inches and fit perfect. My light is now higher and hopefully helps reduce algae as it’s not flush with the stick lights.Hyggar should off this option when buying the light. But for 9.99, not bad. Would recommend.

I needed to get my light secured above my tank and this was a great solution. It elevates the light above the plants a bit and feels secure. I no longer have to worry about the light going for a swim!

I have the hygger hgh999 on my Fluval spec 5 gal tank. These brackets give my light some additional height so I can do some maintenance without having to move or touch my light. Plus now, my light stays dry - I added a sponge filter which got my light wet when air bubbles popped. fyi- The fluval came with a light, but I wanted better coloring with my light and adjustable timers.
