I have found this to be an excellent quality cup holder mount. The last one I tried seemed like it was stripping out and did not hold the cup position very tight at all. The iBolt unit seems to want to continue expanding and stays tight in the cup holder. I am using it to mount an amateur radio that weighs about 2.5 pounds. With a 1" ball mount and a socket arm, I am able to connect the radio to the cup holder and the weight has been distributed while keeping the center of gravity low. The setup has yet to shift or move in the cupholder.

I use it to hold a 10" tablet in a cup holder on my JK Rubicon. I use a 16" support shaft attached to this holder to clear the gear shifter on the center console and to allow me quick viewing of the device. Off road it holds tight. Very satisfied and I highly recommend it.

Excellent device, I disassembled it and modified it for a smaller ball. And replaced one of my vents with it. Ran the power wire through trim, and mounted my fast charging cell phone charger on it. Solid as a rock. For extra measure I wrapped the bottom of the unit that went into the vent with aluminum foil tape. Love it. Good product.
