Solidly made product. Basic operations are straightforward and easy to perform using the buttons on the front of the radio. The more complex functions; e.g. setting up scanning on specific channels, requires the manual. Fortunately the manual is well organized and easy to reference. The electronic squelch control isn't completely intuitive, but I'm getting used to it. An old-school knob would give me more confidence the squelch is set correctly. The 12vdc plug for use with the charger base is a useful extra. My old ICOM M1V lasted 20+ years and that radio still works great; however replacement batteries are not available. Hopefully the M73 will be as good.

I was skeptical to buy a used product for such a great deal, but it arrived brand new, just an opened box and it works perfectly

Been going back on forth between different types of handheld VHF's operating the in many different conditions (not snow) of marine use and this one has been the best. Not indestructible and with care and maintenance (this is my second) learned from a little misuse in past, I expect this one to last a very good performance and long time.

VHF radio came quickly from Freeport Marine. Radio works as expected. Is much smaller and lighter than my old (and replaced icom M-36)!

El empaque venía maltratado además de que hacía falta el cargador y adaptadores. Solo venía el puro radio.

I've used Icom for years and has been dependable. I bought this for my emergency ditch bag on my boat. It's smaller than you think, but still has good volume and a nice display. The one thing I wish it had was a display with a backlight. If this is needed at night you'll need a flashlight.
