Got hooked on using track pads with the steam controller and the steam deck. This is a good alternative, the gyro is actually quite nice as well. The only real gripe i have with is the choice of buttons. I'm sure they were chosen for some games default layout, but I think a more complete choice of command keys and numbers would have been better. You have numbers from 1-8 but no 0 or 9, which would have been really useful for Windows Pin logins. Having a ctrl or alt key would have been nice as well as a delete key, Ctrl-alt-delete is still necessary with windows. You also cannot click with a touch on the TouchPad, having a more laptop like logic on the pad would have been nice, also multi touch gestures would have made this a proper productivity (at least for surfing) tool. Lastly, it would have been nice to have inertial with the trackpad, I know that's probably gonna be more a limitation of software and not hardware, and I can still use this without it, but just poi ting it out to anyone that thinks this is a 1-to-1 replacement for Steam Deck or Controller. In any case, I still think its a 5/5 product since its such a rarity. But only if you want a thumb trackpad controller device with plenty of inputs! It will not replace a controller for someone that really loves consolw style controllers, but it will scratch the itch of a steam deck like interface, for other devices. Its nice that people are still trying new things. I hope this holds me out until Steam Controller 2 comes out, and even then, you might still like this more then that, the large track pad surface might be a big plus for you.

This controller is incredibly AWESOME!I bought this controller knowing fully well what I was getting and I never regretted my purchase! It works right out of the box! You simply plug it in and fire up your game, it works pretty flawlessly. It takes a bit of time getting used to button placement but after a month, it'll be just like your typical console controller.I'm a casual gamer who just got into steam recently and I'm not so used to using a keyboardmouse for character movement and action, when I watched a review of this controller, I said to myself "THATS THE ONE!"If anything, i solely bought this because most of the games in my steam library DON'T have native gamepad support i.e. PSXBSWITCH controller support, and that's what I'm used to. It basically transforms most of your keyboard and translates into a small form factor format that just feels natural and easy to use!I will be real and say the only shortcomings is that one game I tried to play had MORE keys like LKPand I wished the controller had just enough room, which I'm assuming why it couldn't cover all buttons, which I understand the reasoning why. If you ever made a spiritual successor to this, I'd buy it on the spot and I hope they do!I recommend the wireless controller, charging time is only 30 minutes -1 hour and will last the whole week through (depends on your playtime), it's a great controller and I'm simply glad I have it!

Very initial impression: GREAT.I had read the reviews before taking the chance, and 10 minutes in, I'm excited about the possibilities. The touchpad does not have tap or pinch/zoom, but at least there won't be unintended actions (one of the reasons I generally hate touchpads). Awesome little scroll wheel!Quality seems really good to me so far -- lightweight, but that's good -- I don't want the designers adding weight to something that will be in my hands for long periods of time.I have buyer's buzz, so I'll go 4-star for now (feeling 5). I'll circle back and adjust that as I've spent more time on it.

Only just received and gave it a go on Xbox series x , wow talk about all over the place think this will take time to master as I normally play with controller, but I can see once I get my head around the difference button inputs will be a very good controller, build quality is ok, touch response is very good, gyro is also very good just the button placement but that just a learning process overall a good controller but will take time to master.

Been over a week and its so versatile. I'm thinking, everything from Duke Nukem, Decent, Steet fighter 4, Need for speed, retro emulatos to CIV3&4. It all works as it should, its really easy to map the controller on a PC, it instantly registered as a keyboard and touchpad which meant I could use the touchpad to navigate the configuration.Love the position of the triggers on the back. It is meant to be held like a controller on the left side, while on the right your hand isn't suppose to grip it like a traditional controller. Let it rest on the right ring finger, with the index on first finger on the triggers, your thumb free to navigate half of the controller WITHOUT your palm griping it.Can't comment on the Gyro controls yet, I really would like more feedback from games on whether or not they recommend or have tested the game with different controller schemes like steering wheels and accelerometers. I know I can play a lot of RPG's one handed which is a really nice idea. You always could with a keyboard, never a controller, but not anymore. And I know its a complete game changer for FPS games, more immersive, more fun.Ricky.
