These spatulas are heavy and the metal part goes all the way through the handle (tang?). They are thick and easy to hold. Be careful if using on non-stick pans, though. The end of the spatula head is slightly rounded, and it will scratch your pan if you try to use it like a flat-end spatula head. I was going to use them on the grill outside, but decided to keep them inside when I saw how nice they were. They clean up well, too!

I like that these spatulas are a good quality and thick enough to use on the stove or grill. The metal is sturdy and not flimsily. The handles are strong and sturdy as well. They are easy to wash in the dishwasher and can be scrubbed with steel wool if needed since they aren't coated. These are a great non-toxic, non-plastic option for the kitchen.

Eleven years ago I left my best spatula at a cute little rented seaside cabin and I have been kicking myself since. This spatula is almost as good.First off, this spatula is easy to clean, you can easily scrape any sticky bits off and then use a greenie on the remains Plastic spatulas (I've had many over the years) get really ragged at the edges I've even resorted to trimming the threads with a box cutter razor blade. It isn't made of recycled tires (well, maybe the handle is, but the part that touches your food isn't).It is thin enough to slide under a frying egg or a delicate buckwheat pancake without just pushing it around the pan.The handle is nice to hold onto and there is hook for hanging upMy only quibble is the the spatula is a bit narrower than my old lost favorite. But other than that, this is a lovely tool for your kitchen. It also makes a great gift, what better way to say I Love You than with a spatula?
