I grew up with the classic full aluminum calderos in my mother's kitchen and in the kitchen of every relative and family friend. These are a complete upgrade from those, especially if you don't have the time to make sure the originals are seasoned. These are ceramic coated aluminum, they heat up in no time flat and are truly non-stick. Butter or olive oil are strictly used as flavor components as you do not need them at all other wise. I've essentially saved my canola oil spray for my sheet pans. Now on to the important part, these are hand wash only! Never ever put them in a dishwasher. On top of it being unnecessary because these are so easy to clean, you run the risk of damaging the exposed aluminum handles. Hand wash and save yourself the headache. Next up, this should be a no brainer, but only wood or food safe silicone utensils should be used in these. Metal will render them completely useless in a blink. These will also scratch up glass cooktops, just beware of that. It's not a negative against the pot or the cooktop, they're just not meant to be friends. And when storing please, please, please DO NOT nest them. Don't store the smaller one inside the larger, they make the worst nesting dolls. See my comment about metal utensils to understand why. To store them, simply position them the same way they arrived in the box; The lid of large caldero placed upside down in the large one and the small caldero gently placed on top with it's lid on correctly.I feel this last bit should be a bit of common sense, but short metal handles on a metal pot will get hot! That is a reality that cannot be avoided. As I said before, I grew up with these types of pots, and I always saw the cooks in my family using a kitchen towel, pot holder or oven mitt to grip these while cooking. I'm no different, I used a short oven mitt that just covers my hands. If I had to think of a true negative, it would be in regards to the silicone rim on the lids. I do love that they have little image to let you know where the steam vents are, but the nature of silicone is to absorb smells/odors. Especially from any dish that is heavy on spices or fragrant in general. My smaller caldero is my go to for rice and I use jasmine rice. It still very much smells like lovely cooked rice, but it is slowly fading. The larger caldero gets used for a variety of dishes, but when I made stewed oxtails, the smell from the meat and spices lingered for a little over a week before fading. That being said, the smell despite being there, won't compromise whatever you may be cooking. But I feel it is something to be aware of.I've now had these calderos for a little over 3 months (Bought new, not used. Definitely don't recommend getting used cookware sight unseen) and they are holding up beautifully with near daily use. These are wonderful, when you care for them properly.

Llevaba tiempo buscando estas ollas en este color para reemplazar una que ya tiene muchos años de la misma marca. El color es perfecto y justo como el de la foto. Los acabados super buenos y justo lo que estaba buscando.

PROSPurchased these in hopes to replace my aging aluminum rice pots I've had for years. The old pots were still in decent shape, but I found that lately rice was easily getting stuck in the bottom of the pot. I generally skeptical over non-stick pots and pans. Usually they work great out of the box, but quickly lose their non-stick properties with every use. That being said, its been over three months since I purchased a set of these calderos, and I have yet had rice stick to the bottom of the pot.I cook rice with nearly every meal, so I wanted to make sure what every I purchased was just as good, if not better than what I had. This easily beat the old cast aluminum calderos I had, so much so that I completely stopped putting any kind of fat into my rice. Rice cooks perfectly every time, and I have yet needed to scrap rice from the bottom of the pot. What ever remnants remain at the bottom of the pot can be simply wiped off with a sponge. Also, pots look great. I'm not one to focus appearances when it comes to utilitarian products. I rather have an ugly pot that cooks well than a good looking one that scorches my food. Luckily, this one does both, not only does it cook my food perfectly, it also looks good while its doing it.CONSThe following aren't necessarily bad things, but I felt it was worth mentioning.1) The actual pot walls are thinner than the cast aluminum caldero I had previously. This is worth noting, because I had to adjust the way I cook to compensate for the thinner walls. Heat simply transfers a lot easier, and quicker so I basically now cook food in these with the temperature set a tab bit lower.2) The handles are cast aluminum and the dish washer hates them. I'm not entirely sure what's causing this, but anything made out of cast aluminum that gets put into the wash all comes out with a weird film on it. Film ends up turning anything used to scrub it off grey. I've tried different washer settings, and soaps, but they all resulted in that weird film at the end of the wash cycle. Researching online, this is a know issue with dishwasher and cast aluminum. That being said, I wished IMUSA didn't skimp on the enable paint or some kind or silicon coating on the handles. At least that way, they would be something protecting the metal from getting direct contact with what ever causes that wear film on it when their washed in the dishwasher. I will probably apply a couple layers of high heat enable paint on the handles myself.OVERALLI happy with my new caldero pots; the price is reasonable, but the quality is superb.
