I don't want to go out to the greenhouse and find that all my high dollar monsteras and philodendrons have dried out and frozen. To keep that from happening I depend on Inkbird controllers. I started with them and I am still buying them years later. They work, they work right, easy to program, and they just work. That is what all of us want. I am not the kinda person who needs to have a million features and wifi I need a dependable item that does the job and will do it for years. These seem to do the trick. That said this is my first 608 I hope it is as good as the others.

The Inkbird ITC-608T Temperature and Humidity Controller has been an essential tool in managing my grow room environment. Its ability to control both temperature and humidity simultaneously makes it a standout product for anyone serious about indoor gardening or climate control.Pros:Dual function for temperature and humidity: One of the best features of the ITC-608T is its ability to control both temperature and humidity with a single unit. You can plug in a heater, cooler, humidifier, or dehumidifier, and the controller will automatically regulate the environment based on your pre-set values. This makes it extremely versatile and useful for grow rooms, greenhouses, or even home brewing setups.Accurate monitoring and control: The unit provides precise control over both temperature and humidity. I’ve been impressed with how closely it maintains the set ranges, especially in a fluctuating environment like a grow room. The sensors are responsive, and I’ve seen very little variance from the set points, which gives me peace of mind that my plants are always in their ideal conditions.Easy to set up and program: Setting up the controller was surprisingly simple, even for someone who isn’t very tech-savvy. The display is clear and the instructions are easy to follow. Programming your desired temperature and humidity ranges takes just a few minutes, and the system kicks in right away.Multiple modes for flexibility: The ITC-608T offers multiple control modes, including temperature control only, humidity control only, or both simultaneously. This is incredibly helpful if your environment has different needs throughout the day or during different stages of plant growth. I also appreciate the cooling and heating modes, which let you run different equipment depending on the season or time of day.High power capacity: With a 1800W maximum output for temperature control and 1200W for humidity, this unit can handle a range of devices, including high-power heaters, dehumidifiers, or fans. This makes it suitable for larger grow rooms or other industrial applications where powerful devices are needed.Cons:No WiFi or remote access: The ITC-608T lacks WiFi or remote monitoring features, which would be a nice addition for growers who want to check or adjust their settings when they’re away. While it’s still an excellent controller for managing temperature and humidity, the ability to monitor conditions remotely would add more convenience.Overall Experience:The Inkbird ITC-608T has been a game-changer for managing the environment in my grow room. It offers precise control over temperature and humidity, ensuring that my plants thrive in optimal conditions. The unit is easy to program, versatile enough to handle both cooling and heating equipment, and has more than enough power capacity for most setups. While the lack of WiFi is a minor downside, the reliability and functionality more than make up for it. It’s perfect for growers, greenhouses, or anyone needing accurate climate control.

UPDATE (05/08/21): After using this sensor for several months now in (>90%) RH the unit still appears to be fairly accurate!Sensors in high RH environments are always at risk of having problems since moisture can build up on the unit itself causing electronic malfunctions or reading errors. However, it appears that If the sensors is cleaned regularly (weekly) the integrity of the readings is preserved over time! Now I’m using the unit to control the environment of a (2 x 4’) grow tent containing a DIY Aquaponics system. At RHs required for crop growth The (ITC-608T) preforms phenomenally!————————————————————purchased the temp/RH combo controller (ITC-608T) primarily for growing edible mushrooms indoors and based on my first impressions it operates phenomenally! Before utilizing this controller I tried out 2 cheap Temp/RH probes, a digital and mechanical one, both of which were wildly inaccurate at high RHs around (90%).Immediately upon placing the probes of this model into the terrarium I could tell the results were going to be far more accurate and after a week of continuous (24/7) use are providing consistent readings! If you require a reasonably priced environmental controller for mushroom cultivation or any environment with high humidity levels around (90%), I highly recommend this model!

I make cheese as a hobby. To do the job properly requires being able to control the temperature and humidity levels in the space in which you let your cheeses age while they turn from milk curds to whatever kind of cheese you are making. Traditionally, this was achieved by using a nearby cave where Mother Nature managed these controls for you, as well as provided some necessary molds and bacteria to help flavor your cheeses to perfection.Alas, i do not have access to such a wonderful cave. Instead, I used this tool to create one. It comes with both a temperature and a humidity probe. I taped both of those inside the refrigerators and snaked the wires out to the controller. I also put a small room humidifier in the refrigerator and snaked out its power cord. That power cord, along with the refrigerator's power cord, and the two probe's cords were all plugged in to the device.I then spent about 20 minutes learning how to program the device. Once I got the settings where I wanted them, the device took over. Basically, I have it set up so that it maintains the temperature range I want by turning the fridge power on or off, and the humidity range I want by turning the humidifier on or off.I have been using this for over two weeks now and it's been working beautifully. I also have a separate monitor to keep an eye on things, and the two sets of reading are rather close. First cheese results will be coming out of my new Cheese "Cave" in some days. I cannot wait!

I am giving the 4th star for the rapid customer service response and unit replacement. Company deserves 5 stars, but not this device.Frankly I live in a state with vast temperature ranges over the year, so while I need to Humidify year round, heating or cooling varies based on season. If you are like me and need both hot and cold control, I would recommend the individual Temp & Humidity Controllers. I had to add an additional piece of hardware for heat control, which is silly . Also, the cage around the cheap humidity sensor causes all sorts of problems in extreme humidity. I had to build it a hood of water proof tape to prevent the cover from filling with condensation. Once the warranty is up I will be removing the sensor cage and waterproofing the sensor connectors to prevent corrosion, as I have with previous models. They work better when in stalled in a recessed area free from drips.I would also recommend extension cables for the sensors if you have limited working space.
