As inexpensive indicators go this one is at the top of the heap. Smooth operation, fit and finish look good.Comes with an excellent case and the lid has a real hinge - not one of those "live" hinges that eventually break.

used this for setting timing on a v6 merc outboard. The action is smooth without binding and returns to 0 each and every time. accuracy was good for my application with no issues. the plastic case is also nice and keeps the indicator safely stowed when not in use. i used a one inch extension to get the proper length and it fit the indicator stem exactly with no threading issues. with proper care should last a long time.

I performed several Industrial motor alignments using this dial indicator along side my starrett indicator.The only thing I noticed is that it takes a few tries getting it to stay on zero while setting up the bezel.As far as accuracy, it provided the identical reading I took with the starrett.

Reasonable quality, but the stylus was a bit sticky on initial use.
