You may have to play with different color combinations to get it to work. We have a harbor breeze and had to do red-gray, blue-purple and white to brown for the three speeds and black to black of course. Made it take a little longer to put together correctly, but it did the trick for $6.99.

Recently, when my Husband turned off the ceiling fan in the utility room, the chain just pulled completely out of the fixture, rendering it unusable. We went in search of a replacement switch here on Amazon. The ceiling fan itself is unmarked as to the brand or model, so we picked this replacement switch based on function. It was easy to disassemble the fixture, rewire the new switch in place, and reassemble it. It works perfectly, just like the old one before it broke. If it lasts a reasonable amount of time, we have a winner.

They come in a small mylar pouch, only thing I wish they included in the packaging was the wiring diagram they've got as one of the pictures in the listing.I needed to follow the "alternative" Hamilton beach wiring scheme, but so far the replacement switch has worked perfectly and was significantly cheaper than replacing the whole fan unit.Easy to install, just needed a good variety of wire nuts to install correctly.If you're a home DIYer, you can do this, just need the wire nuts, a good AC detector, wire strippers and some common sense. The "L, 1,2,3" labels on the switch itself are a bit faint, so I'd suggest using a sharpie before you start wiring, and copy down on a sticky note what needs to connect to what. The instructions tell you to do that, but lets be honest...we're mostly men and who reads those?I accidentally unplugged the power from the light attachment getting to the fan section, so I had to do some creative problem solving to finish up my project, however that's on me not related to the switch at all.
