None fuctional in my application, to re wire traffic lights. the hole to put the wire in is so small, I gave up after 30 minz. I would not buy unless you have solid core wire and itz very thin.

I like this inline switch for its ease of assembly. And the fact that it has an indicator light. Most inline switches do not have indicator lights. An indicator light helps when checking a circuit for power. The 210 volt 10 Amp service is more than I need. So, there is no danger of burning out this switch.Note. These switches do not come with instructions. But they are not hard to wire.Search online for wiring an inline switch. Then, look for the instructions that match this inline switch.Yes, there is more than one type of inline switch. This one is one of the easier ones.Your device should be using stranded wires. To insert the wire into the terminal, you have to twist it.If, you are having problems inserting the twisted wires into the terminal. You can try tining the wires.Tinning is when you place a thin coat of solder on the wires.Thinning the wire should help with inserting the wire into the terminals.Again, search online for tinning wire.

A previous reviewer proclaimed these switches were unsafe and I found that interesting, but he had credibility, so I took a close look at them. He never elaborated. At first, I was impressed at the quality of the wire clamps inside and saw no problem – but putting them together I realized there was no strain relief-so the clamps are holding the wire together physically as well as electrically. I’m not an engineer, but I’m certain that you cannot use an electrical connection clamp/clip as a strain relief in any case because it could damage the copper, causing a weak link and hot spot. All that said, I still like the switches and will only use them in light duty situations.Brass connections, larger openings and an indicator light make them pretty sweet.**I would never dangle anything from them, or allow them to be near any traffic because it is unknown what will happen if they fail, and the contacts could theoretically touch each other inside the switch and cause a fire.Use them at your own risk, like I do.
