This .718 inch ferrule is not the proper size for a 3/8 air hose. I also bought the vise grips to crimp the ferrule and after crimping the end the fitting could be pulled out with little effort. I will attempt to buy the right size this time and a better crimping tool. I am sure that the ferrule is a good product I just need the right size to do the job.

If you want to make custom lengths from the usual 50' rubber air hose at places like Northern Tool or Sears, these are the ferrules to get. They seem a *hair* big when trying to use the Interstate Pneumatics crimp tool, but after a little trial and error I can get a crimp I'm satisfied with. Using these make your hoses look so much more professional and safer than a hose-clamp.
