El producto no funciono correctamente. Simplemente no se apagaba.La guía de DHL, no funcionó. Tuve que mandarlo por correos de México.Muy latosa la devolución.

Update:I finally got around to plumbing this in and running water through the unit, and adding to my disappointment, it leaks. It’s not in the water line fitting, it’s the actual body of the unit that is leaking. See picture. Absolute and total junk. Whatever happened to quality and pride of solid craftsmanship??? I’m going to request to send this back. Absolute garbage.Original post:The unit itself might be OK, but the electrical wires going into it are so unbelievably thin that they are completely useless. I was going to power this directly from DC, so I cut the wire from the transformer and intended to connect them to a voltage doubler (12VDC -> 24VDC). But there is no way to splice the wires. They are too thin. Literally like a strand of hair. The wire sheathing is thick so it looks solid, but it’s 99.99% sheathing and almost no copper. So now the unit is completely useless and I’ve wasted my money. Typical overseas junk.

He recibido el filtro UV8, fueron tres unidades, los he instalado, todo a la perfeccion, mas sin embargo 2 de los tres hacen un ruido al paso de flujo de agua, contacte con el proveedor, Michele (GRACIAS POR TU SOPORTE Y AYUDA), y despues de explicar, mandar un video donde se ecucha el ruido, e inteecambiar las unidades con la que no hace ruido, Michele ayudo a que finalmente, me reemplazaran al menos una de ellas, he instalado la nueca unidad ahora sin ningun inconveniente

I bought a UVF8 from an online marketplace website but never recieved it and was badly let down by UK Royal Mail who wouldn't refund the purchase cost after they misdelivered. However, a big thanks to Amazon.com for doing a great job delivering to the UK in double quick time. Anyway, the UVF8 is installed and working just fine , however, there is a strange rattle coming from inside the tube/unit. It only starts when the lamp is on with water flowing through it. I unplugged the lamp the rattle stopped, plugged it in it starts again. If anyone can let me know if this is normal I'd be grateful. The unit itself is tiny so easy to hide under the kitchen sink and very easy to pipe up with quick connect 1/4" fittings. The UV lamp only turns on with water flowing so should last years and the bright blue 'working' indicator is nice to check it is working. Overall after a short while I'm very pleased, just not sure about the rattle. And again a big thank you to Amazon.com for the great service, nice one.UPDATE, I asked the question about the rattle, had an answer from the seller/manufacturer that they have 'never heard of that issue' and to contact them. I tried to contact them but I'm in the UK and for some reason cannot reply to their message. Maybe this wasn't so good a purchase after all. I've tried mounting the UVF8 horizontally and vertically, still rattles. The only thing I can think maybe causing the rattle is the flow rate is too low. The best I can get after my RO setup is 1.25L/min, they specify 1.5L/min minimum.

Ordered this to add UV to current filter. Not many choices for LED UV sterilizer, it helps when the product is well reviewed.Installation was a breeze, as the only things to do was to connect it between the last stage and the faucet dispenser and find a location for it (and then plug it in) - I used the included brackets to clip it to the final GAC filter. The only thing that was not supplied is the 1/4" tubing for the water connections. So far it appears to be working, when I dispense water the blue LED's on the incoming side lights up to give indication there is water flow and sterilizer working.Power consumption wise it uses 1watt at idle, and 9watts when the LED lamps are on - as measured with a Kill-A-Watt.

This unit is easy to install with its 1/4" push fittings. Works as described (little green light turns on with water flow and off without)...hard to know if it's doing it's job without some form of before and after water test. Suggest the company get an independent lab to perform tests and publish results.Update 1/9/2024. I have purchased about 6 of these as part of a reverse osmosis drinking water treatment system that I originall made just for me. Once anyone sees it they want one so I've built these for my kids and friends. Unfortunateky if you put this in as the last stage after passing the RO membrane it does not provide enough flow rate to trigger the automatic on switch and it just remains off and water passes through without getting the UVC treatment. The exception is if your water pressure is very high and you are producing enough final RO water flow to trigger the internal switch. Instead of collecting and returning 6 units, I moved them to the stage before the RO where there is a higher flow rate (before the RO seperates good vs reject water). Not ideal since viruses can "hide" behind small particles and hence not get UVC dosed! My stages are 5 micron, 1 micron, activated charcoal (for well based systems vs city water), now UVC next, then RO and remineralization as the last stage. If they made this without the internal switch (just plug it in when in use), it would be a great product for my use case. Only small concern is that LED's don't like to produce UVC so I am not sure how effective this is anyway or if its just a placebo!

This is the 2nd UV filter I have purchased from I Spring. The first was a larger filtration system and was needed to eliminate ecoli in my well water. It did the job perfectly and the water was subsequently tested and found to be ecoli free. The second was recently purchased for my new residence in order to ensure that my water supply is safe. It also works perfectly and the water tastes great. Both have been game changers in terms of providing reliable, safe drinking water. Each one was easy to install and well made. Delivery was fast and as promised. I Spring customer service is also outstanding. I will continue to utilize I Spring for my water filtration needs.Deborah Herbig
