I was trying to find a fountain that I didn’t have to chase around the sun all day so it would be charged enough to run at night. This one seemed to fit the bill. And a bonus that the power cord detaches so I could feed it through a hole at the bottom of my fountain. I can see this working well in a small fish tank or as a replacement for an existing table-top fountain. Unfortunately, these were its shortcomings:• Power cord is too short.Unfortunately the cord is very short so I needed an extension cord.• No auto shut off if out of the water.You shouldn’t operate it out of water so you have to unplug it every time you clear out the fountain (ever night so the raccoons don’t topple it).• Suctions don’t hold.Fountain tilts to one side soaking my nearby cushions.• Power is very low.My bird bath is 23” in diameter, this looked disproportionately small. The +/- fountain height was useless.• No way to secure the lights to the pump.I had to elastic band the lights to the pump so it doesn’t float away or turn upside down.• No fountain attachments.Self explanatory.It’s being returned.
