While these devices are nicely made I had a lot of questions. Like so many “bags” of things you find here there no details like why are there two1. Just what does this thing do.The board has a strip of 4 pins to make connections,VCC,Out, Gnd,Gnd.No answer to why two Gnd ? No answer what comes out of Out?.Is the only input from that coupled by a wire with current? Is there a limit to this current? Can we assume that VCC is 5 volts? Is this a device to verify that something works or does not work?No block or other form of illustration.ASAP I will connect a current and see what lights or smokes. My main point is that a simple drawing labled so don’t have try to see what works and a minimum expectation of success would have been nice.No I don’t want send these back. I just want it to work and want warn users what they will encounter if they attempt.

I was unable to find any instructions whatsoever for this module. After a bit of testing, I found the output is similar to the ACS712 current sensors - it outputs a sine wave. This means the voltage is constantly changing, and the average voltage will be the same regardless of current flow.I wanted to use these to detect if a light was on or off by the current flow. I connected them to a analog input pin on an ESP32 running ESPhome, and by only using the max voltage I could detect a change in current flow.To adjust the sensitivity, turn the screw counterclockwise for more sensitive (smaller loads will have a bigger change in output voltage) and clockwise for less sensitive (but a bigger range of detection). The screw moves many turns (I didn't count, but around 20). At either end of the limit, you will hear a faint click inside as you turn. With the sensitivity turned all the way up, I was able to read a 0.8 volt difference with a 0.2 amp load - plenty enough to detect if a LED light was turned on or not.

returned them. So, why am I providing three stars? The vendor did contact me and offered a full refund, even though Amazon had already done that. Impressive. I like a vendor that takes responsibility. I had originally provided one star.
