Hopefully if needed these will work but did like that they came with hooks and gloves. A helpful combo.

It is heavy, seems well packaged, gloves are cotton with blue silicone (?) drops on the underside. Not fireproof but helpful for placing the blanket on a fireHope I never have to use it but an important item to have near the kitchen

Read the reviews. I purchased fire gloves because product description doesn't emphasize that you should not touch the blanket. Fiberglass will penetrate skin.Otherwise happy with product. Good as gifts.

Last night we had a fire in our toaster over - i grabbed the fire blanket and covered the oven until the fire went out - the heat, as you can see from the melted knobs, was intense but thanks to this blanket nothing else was damaged at all (other than smoke odour). it was fast, easy to use and did exactly what it was supposed to do. I had obviously bought this hoping never to find out if it worked or not, but I am incredibly grateful at how fantastic it was.i have now ordered a 10 pack and will be giving these as gifts to friends as I believe this to be an essential safety product.
