It's my fault that I didn't realize the hook can't fold up out of the way when not in use. I sent it back, no problem, but I can't really see the point of this hook without that feature. It should probably be made very prominent in the listing, since I now see I'm not the first to make this mistake.

I love the idea of the banana hook. I searched for “foldable under cabinet banana hook” and this was one of a zillion options. I went with this one because it doesn’t hang too low so the bananas would really be out of the way. I was really excited for this but guess what, the hook does stay folded/closed at all when not in use. So I’m not sure why it’s designed on a foldable hinge. I want to return it, but that seems so tedious, not sure if I’ll return it. I have to find the same hook but one that stays folded. Ugh.PS. I scoured the listing and it doesn’t say it stays folded! Sigh. Ignore the picture and the hinge completely.Excited to add: I added a small magnet under the cabinet and it does the trick keeping it folded when not in use. Changing rating to five stars.

So far this hook has been amazing! Super easy to install, I just stuck it up under my cabinet weeks ago and its still up there. Bananas hang perfectly in place and very sturdy. Saves me some counter space and keeps my bananas from sitting flat on the counter.

Perfect to hang your bananas on. I placed this undery upper cabinets above my fruit basket.

It works perfectly as a hook but it absolutely does not fold up, as advertised, even a little. I don't really need it to fold up but that feature shouldn't even be mentioned as a selling point. Other than that, it looks great and can easily hold bananas.
