I bought this to use with my epoxy resin. Great sizes, smooth and shiny surfaces! Demolds easily - I do use the Alumilite mold release spray before using the mold.For the big stone mold, I put a big cup under it, so it doesn't have indents from the mold support - I saw this on another review.I like it! Works well!

Just used this the other day and the rocks came out smooth and perfect! I used grout and let me say these moulds are a game changer, especially if you have a hard time finding perfectly smooth little rocks.

I just received these about a week ago and have tried them twice so far and I have to saythat I am impressed! They work quite well, especially for the price of the (2) molds that youget as a set.I usually get my rocks at a local landscape company, but I was curious to try these molds to makemy own. I also wanted to keep it on the frugal side expense wise so I decided to try my first batchusing a drywall compound product called "Durabond 90". It worked quite well and came out outvery smooth as shown in the first image. A few air pockets of course as this was my first time andI may have not let the solution settle to disperse the bubbles before pouring into the mold?Using Durabond material however creates a softer, and more delicate stone,even after it cured for a few days.I tapped it with my fingernails and it left indentations as can be seen in the photo.With a few touch ups, I can still use them though.Next, I tried a stronger product called Quikcrete, a very fine cement mixture used in construction forfinishing or top coat applications on concrete projects. A little grittier in texture, but the molds themselves allow the finished product to come out just as smooth as the Durabond 90, but a lot stronger and with the same weight as a rock of the same size.Either way, both products released from the molds very easily after it hardened, which took less than 24 hours. A simple wipe with a wet cloth to clean out any remaining debris from the first batch and I was ready to move on to the next one.Overall, I'm quite satisfied with these molds and they appear to be durable enough to last for manycastings regardless of which casting material a person uses. I'll have to keep an eye out for other shapes and sizes that may be available from this supplier.I would have no problem recommending these molds for anyone interested in casting theirown rocks for a multitude of projects.
