The parts in this kit are of good quality, but you better have an idea on how to build this sled before you purchase. There are no instructions or even diagrams provided. That being said, if you're comfortable using YouTube or other methods to figure out how to put everything together, you can get a very good sled made from this kit.

It comes with everything but the wood needed to make a table saw sled, and having made one now, I appreciate it’s usefulness.Having said that, it’s not easy to build a sled for an amateur. The slides they provide are polypropylene which is good - self-lubricating. They individually slid freely in the grooves on my table. It seems there must be a standard width. But mounting them on the wood slide table requires precision. Online videos show placing the slides in the groove of the saw table, possibly raised slightly by putting dimes or half-nuts in the bottom of the grooves before placing the slides on top. Then applying a super glue to the exposed top side of the slides and holding the wood slide board in place while the glue sets and holds the slides in position. But that works well with wood slides. I didn’t have a super glue that adheres to polypropylene, so I used double sided tape instead. That holds them well enough that you can then use the pre-drilled holes in the slides to re-enforce their attachment.Except they were countersunk insufficiently and the supplied screws were proud. Not good. So I had to rework the countersink.My table did not slide. It did 60% of the way in, then jammed. So I spent quite a bit of time filing them narrower. I ended up using a Stanley surface plane that holds a rasp sheet as sandpaper was ineffective.I finally got there, and I think part of my problem was that the machine grooves in the work table weren’t true.It’s still a good tool though. This is a good kit.Note there are different colored kits available, some have short thread inserts, others have longer ones, you should look for that.

Very disappointed in this sled kit. The Ttracks went in fine but they packed 1/4 inc threaded bolts and metric threaded knobs. Not sure how I will remedy that.

I ordered this Table Saw Crosscut Sled Kit because it's one of the most complete kits I've found for making a DIY crosscut sled. It includes a pair of pre-drilled 3/4" UHMW miter bar inserts, a pair of blue pre-drilled T-tracks for mounting stops, and 4 sets of knobs to make stops and hold-downs. At $24.99 (current price on Amazon) it's not the cheapest kit you can find but it's better than the other two I have that are still in their boxes and will now become spare parts. My only complaint is that nothing is included in the way of instructions or plans for using the parts to make a sled. All you get are the pictures in the product listing.
