Update: We've washed and dried this set several times, and everything is still looking good.I ordered the Medium size for my average sized 9yr old (wears a size 10 legging at Old Navy). I see now that sizing is included into the listing that the Small size would have been more appropriate (Small: ages 7-14 vs. Medium: ages 12-18). The knee pads have a little bit of looseness to them (she doesn't have skinny legs) but are otherwise comfortable. They aren't big plushy pillows but should work well when sliding in for a bump. She really likes the forearm padding too, they are also a little loose, but as a beginning volleyball player, they should help with getting acclimated to the forearm soreness. I didn't see loose stitching and everything feels like decent quality. With the socks and drawstring bag, this is a very complete set for $19.99!

This is my 2nd time getting this set for my daughter. She used the first set for two years before the knee pads started falling apart. It worked so great that I just go it again and now she just has two bags and extra socks! This is great for young volleyball players. She is 12, but I think that kids 9-14 could use this set.
