First bought these books as a geology student in college. I have sense found countless uses for a high quality notebook in my non academic life.Thick pages, truly water and oil proof, and exceedingly durable.

Used these as a field construction code inspector. Rain, sweat, dirt, and oil will not damage the pages. Just be careful what pen you choose, many will water bleed. A Bic pen from high school works the best. I use this one for car shows and swap meet field notes.

Everyone else tries to make their products as good as RITR. I like hardcover books and this one is the standard by which all others are measured.

you can actually write on this in the rain! I mean i wouldn't but if it was to get wet it won't ruin it. Lots of pages. Bought for my superintendent to replace one he has had for years.

I do archeology, and this notebook is perfect for taking out into the field. The waterproof pages keep it from getting ruined in the rain, and the quality of the construction of the book is fantastic. If you’re doing fieldwork outside, this notebook is perfect for you.
