I love these! The deep grooves really help with tough sewing through leather. But be warned they run quite small! I got the large sized duo, and I estimate that the Silver one is about a size 7 ring, and the gold is about a 6 or maybe a 5.5. I'm a woman with M/L sized hands. These are too small for my husband whose fingers are only slightly wider.

I needed a thimble for a larger size finger, which seem to be very hard to find. The larger size is perfect for me. I hadn't used a ring style before (only the full finger tip cup), but I have no issues with this style.

I was puzzled about the "fit" of the thimble. (Dumb me: I thought it should slide farther down the finger!) I was about to return it! Then I discovered that the thimble works best on the end of the finger! No problem...unless the finger is so large that the thimble won't "fit" the end of the finger. That, friends, would be a problem. Beautiful construction on both thimbles!

They are very well-made and beautiful. However, they are both too small for my fingers - looks like I could be a giant in China LOL. The silver once can squeeze through the index finger and might be usable. I wish there was a XL size.Update - Nov 24:I have used the silver thimble a few times and I cannot understand why some reviews are so negative. These thimbles are well made and make pushing needles through thick fabric a breeze. I will buy a second set just in case one gets misplaced.

What a shame I had to return this set. So well made, except way too big for my fingers. They will be great for those with large hands.
