As a repair shop owner, I like to find good parts priced right to save my customers some money, this Subaru Shifter joint did an excellent job of removing the slop from the shifter!

I don't even know where to begin. This is most obviously and definitely not OEM. The item I received was absolutely laughable.For starters, the shaft that connects to the transmission itself was bent at an angle so even if I had been able to install it, the shifter definitely would've been off.But, I didn't even make it there as that receiving shifter shaft actually wound up being too small to fit the transmission shaft.To top it off, the actual bushing side that connects to the shifter itself was too large, so you can't get it into the fork without expanding the fork or shaving down the bushings a bit.I'll admit the one thing it looks like they did get right was welding the U joint a couple MM off center just like OEM one. But really, that's about it.It's completely useless and couldn't be returned any sooner.

Over the years, my shift linkage became sloppy; for first and second gear, the shifter was way over on the left. For third and fourth, the shifter had to be moved way over to the right! Fifth was even farther to the right. I was engaging third when I wanted fifth! Very sloppy and becoming dangerous. This Shift Joint has all new bushings and took all the slop out of the shifter!I did the replacement myself, YIKES! It is held to the transmission with a double roll pin. Two different size punches were needed to remove the pins to disconnect the linkage. I was able to do the work under the car without removing the transmission. I hope this joint lasts 20 years like the original.

I replaced this knuckle on my GC8 to get rid of freeplay in my gearshift and now i have even worse freeplay. I can easiliy see the movement in the blue bushes that are not adjustable....Cant wait to get a refund on this
