This is an excellent product, as one would expect from K&M. It is a miniature version of K&M's standard microphone stands. It is well-made, sturdy, adjustable, and well-planted. I use it for low microphone placement for amp mics and low floor mics.Highly recommended.

I searched a long time for a low mic stand for my bass drum and finally found it!!! I use an Evans reso head for my bass drum which has a port fairly low to the ground ( at about 4 o'clock position in the face ) and I could not insert my bass drum mic very far into the drum with my old stand. I use a Lewitt DTP 640 REX mic which is dual capsule mic and is about 700 grams and if placed on a boom close to the batter head of the drum it causes the stand to tip. The K&M stand is very heavy and the three legs are spread very wide and make it extremely sturdy. Coupled with the 2 piece boom it reaches to the end of the drum. I highly recommend this stand for drummers looking for a low level stand. Pricey but worth every penny!

I love this stand for mic’ing my bass drum. It’s the only stand I’ve found that is low enough to the ground with a long enough arm to reach straight into my bass drum port. It’s built like a German tank, too.

I highly recommend this K&M mic stand. I bought this K&M to upgrade my kick mic stand. It exceeded my expectations in every way except maybe price, but you get what you pay for and it was worth it imo. I like the fold-up tripod format, this model is extra low with short but heavy legs therefore very stable. I was pleasantly surprised that it has more boom length than I expected, it has an inner boom that extends it's reach right up close to the kick drum batter head through the reso-head port. I'm using an SE Electronics V-Kick microphone without any probs. I was using an On-stage MS7920 stand with rectangular cast base, but found it tips over easily on carpet when extended far out. I've moved the On-stage to use as my desktop voiceover mic stand but added a counterbalance and for that it's great. You will not be disappointed with this stand, if you need a good quality extra low mic stand get this one. Hope this helps.
