These are are serious trail shoes.Lighter than they look.Firm sole.Lace system is great. It allows me to make 2 seperate adjustments. Also the lace pocket is a great feature.Vented bodyThe vibram sole is top notch. The soles squeak on rocks. Definitely no slip.Not sure what the term is but there is a good thick "box" that protects my toes. Some of my lighter trail shoes don't provide much protection for my toes. This shoe does.The material is high quality and feel durable.The shoes are light, but feel very firm.These shoes have a roomy toe area and are very comfortable. So far I've only put about 6 trail miles on it so far. I'm impressed.

OMG I love these running shoes! I've been running for many years, decades .. in the 6-9 miles per run range over some rocky terrain. I go through a pair of Nike runners every 4 months or so and often have pain. Not with these puppies. Wow. They were the most expensive running shoes I'd ever bought (and I was so regretful at first I was considering cancelling order). I am so glad I didn't. First - these things are futuristic - if you remember Back to the Future II - Michael J Fox's self tying sneakers - it was kind of like that. And that is no gimmick. the "lacing system" is not just convenient - it allows you to quickly tie your shows while applying even (but light pressure all around) - what a joy not to have them be too tight or too loose. Then, while running, they were so comfortable I was almost giddy with joy. And I can't want to run again tomorrow in them. Oh and they look good too. But they're so comfortable, who cares!?
