I got this throw because I just need it for my torso and shoulders. I fold it over to get the weight needed. It is soft on the outside and folds easily. Looks nice so I keep it at the foot of my bed when not in use. Comes with a nice travel bag too.

There are many weighted lap blankets to choose from, the reason I chose this one is it's about the size of a towel (other lap blankets are about half the size, and the cooler satin material. This company does make a velvet version which would be good if you get cold. This version is made with a satin material and it does remain cool with no heat buildup. The slightly larger size is better because you can drap it nicely, and when you turn over in bed there is enough blanket to wrap around you. I really like this blanket, the weight is distributed very evenly and it comes with a carry case as well. I would absolutely purchase this again.

I wanted a weighted blanket for when I was watching TV on the couch, but most of them are too hot even the small ones. This blanket was amazing! It's leaf shape design is surprisingly more comfortable than a rectangular design (not sure why, but the way it doesn't put the same amount of weight everywhere is very calming to me). Because of this blanket I ended up learning about bamboo rayon materials and bought bedsheets made from the same material as this blanket. It's totally worth it, not sure if I'd be able to roll it back into the travel case and it feels a little big for travel, but I use it in summer time in bed when it's still too warm at night for a full blanket.

Weighted blankets tend to make my muscles ache when I’m covered fully, so this blanket is a little more versatile. I did try this pulled up to my shoulders and I ached quite a bit. I like this around my mid section and hips and not over my shoulders and it’s perfect. I do think it helps me fall back asleep faster when I wake up at night. I fall asleep quickly but I can be up for hours in the middle of the night. I’ve been enjoying the comfort this brings.The shape is cool and the color is pretty. Good alternative to a full size blanket.

I already sleep with a weighted blanket, so I am familiar with the benefits. I wanted a smaller, lap blanket to use for the couch or for travel. This one is the perfect size and weight. It feels cool to the touch and is the perfect size to wear covering your legs and chest area. You can feel the weight, but it is not overbearing. I bought the beige color bur went back for the grey. This is perfect for small children as well. The item is made with care as the quality is very good. I do have an even smaller weighted lap pad, but I like this one way better as it covers more of your body. Overall, really happy with my purchase.
