Used to trim bonsai trees

Have you ever tried to cut the branches of a tough old bougainvillea and found out how impossible that job is?I tried to cut a seemingly quarter of an inch thick branch the other day and could not make a dent in that little piece of steel- like wood. My husband, strong, couldn't make a dent. All of our saws had teeth that were made for bigger branches so I decided to look around for something that might do the job and ordered this little dynamo. You carefully pull it and in seconds the branch we couldn't cut was off and nothing left but a smooth surface. The blade is so small that it easily will fit into those tiny spots on trees or indoor plants you have where you find that if you cut one branch you may just ruin another or nick the bark. This is what you need for those jobs. Not a tool for burly impatient people who treat their tools rough. This is a delicate tiny blade that cuts on the straight pull. No bending, no reefing, no impatience. If you use it for what it is made for it will do what it was made for, and for that it is the perfect tool.

Super sharp mini saw, perfect for those delicate branches that require removing with minimum damage to the trunk.

Cuts 3mm marine ply well. Did manage to bend the blade that that is probably the handyman's fault not the tool.

This saw works great for my intended use. Purchased it specifically to prune close to the trunk on smaller trees. Was getting frustrated because the pruners were tearing the bark on a maple and the Silky saws I have is too wide to fit at the right angle. This saw may be intended for bonsai but it works perfectly for larger trees outdoors. The blade is stiff enough to cut without bending, and is cleanly riveted to a comfortable beech wood handle. There are 18 teeth per inch--they do have a fair amount of set for a blade this small--but still cut cleanly enough.I would definitely recommend this saw, it's nicely made and very reasonably priced for the quality.
