The fact that they would make see through swim shorts for children is appalling. They fit nicely and have good coverage but they’re literally see through. I bought the yellow ones for my 2 year old and you can clearly see when she gets sand in them. Don’t recommend.

We ordered the yellow and it’s a little too see through, and not enough coverage when sitting. We will be returning, unfortunately. Would have loved them to work out. They are such a bright sunshine yellow.

We got a 5 and they fit perfectly! My daughter is 38 lbs and 40.5" tall with 23" hips (she doesnt wear things up at her waist/belly button, so idk how that would affect sizing.. they fit perfect on her hips)! You can see through them (I'd say about 50% transparent - atleast on these Yellow ones anyways), so you couldn't use them alone. As extra coverage on a suit that's 'showy' in the booty area, though, these are perfect! Going to get the pink for the same purpose (but I'll review weather they are see through as well) and black so I can use those alone hopefully (will review again also)! They're soft too and a good length! Would recommend!

My daughter ordered these to go over her swim suit for the beach. The fit was as expected. But the material is pretty thin and see thru. You can see her swim suit very easily through them. They were cheap enough we kept them and they served there purpose. But beware if you are looking for opaque shorts

Kid liked these bottoms better than a bikini bottom. We bought the yellow, and the only minor hiccup was that it was see-through when wet. I didn't make a fuss about it as this is a younger child and a butt crack is NBD. If anyone has an issue with it, have your kid wear undies underneath I suppose. My kid didn't care and they didn't get any sunburn at all. Fits nice and snug but comfy. My kid was thrilled and we will keep wearing them until they get too small. Will purchase again!
