My FT-60 is about eight years old. The original battery still works but I am concerned how much longer it will hold a charge as batteries don't last forever. That why I got this Karier battery.When I first got it, I installed in on my FT-60 and it powered right up. It fit perfectly. I then removed it and placed it in my FT-60 charger. The red charging light lit up. After about two hours the light turned green so I knew it was fully charged.I re-installed it on my FT-60 and it powered up as I would have expected, this time will a full charge.This is a good FT-60 battery that works as expected. No issues. I recommend it.

While this battery does fit the FT-60R and does power it up, it won't work in the original drop-in charger as the Yaesu ones have only 3 contacts on the back of the battery (as does the charger). This battery has 4 contacts on the battery and requires a compatible charger which has 4 contacts as well. If you purchase the charger for this battery it should work fine but I wasn't in the mood to have to buy yet another charger when I already have the OEM drop-in charger.

I ordered this is a spare for my HT. So far it seems to be doing a good job does not last as long as my factory battery but it’s only half the price. I have not had any issues with charging or the fit of the battery.If you’re looking for a alternative to the factory battery, this is good for you

I ordered this as a replacement for my Standard HX270S, and the first one worked some but failed shortly after. I ordered a replacement for that one, and out of the box, it was totally dead.
