You will still need to get it programmed, which you can to at a battery plus store or locksmith. If you got to dealership it will cost a lot

I dropped my key into the toilet AS IT WAS FLUSHING. Honda quoted me $60 for the key but to program it was like $375. So I used my spare because even with the quote, the keys were back ordered for months and I couldn’t get one. I followed some simple online instructions to program this one and it worked! Yay I have automatic locks again! Easy to use. Easy to program. Works perfectly on my 2011 Honda Pilot! I did not have the key cut to match yet, I believe I’d have to have something done with it either at the dealership or locksmith. For now I start and drive my car with my spare but use this to lock and unlock. Works for me!

This did NOT WORK for my 2009 Honda Accord! giving it 5 stars so that people are aware. The open door/close door and trunk release are programmable HOWEVER when the key is placed into the ignition a green KEY light appears on the dashboard and renders the car IMMOBILE! it shuts the car down and you are not able to start it! there is a chip inside the fob that needs to match the one in the ignition and this part needs to be done by a dealer which costs a few hundred. So save yourself running late for work in the morning and avoid this key fob!

I ordered this as a replacement key for a 2008 Accord EXL. I took the car, an original key and the usaremote to a large locksmith company. $80. For programming $37. To cut the key. 20 minutes all done. Works well. About $150CAD all in (including key). The only negative is that the Amazon ad said it included programming instructions that it did not come with. It did come with a card suggesting a their website for locksmith referrals. There are no locksmith referrals.I would buy a usaremote brand key again but probably not from Carkeycentral.

Successfully swapped out the electronic transmitter/buttons into existing '09 Honda Accord key. No instructions come with the key - a business card that sends you to a website (under a different name and address). Went through the reprogramming procedure I found on this website. This enabled the fob's lock/unlock remote to work. However, the car does not start afterward -- green key light flashes on dash indicating security chip in key doesn't match (immobilizer). There is no manual procedure provided to reprogram this -- requires Dealer/Locksmith Programming. The website itself, depending on where you are at in it, states, "THIS REMOTE/KEY CAN ONLY BE PROGRAMMED USING SPECIAL EQUIPMENT BY THE DEALER OR QUALIFIED LOCKSMITH." (for the '09 Honda Accord)Local locksmith quote is $139 to reprogram (same day). Local Honda dealer quote is $100 to reprogram (need appointment).Little annoying given the top bullets of listing states,"Remote is user programmable with provided step-by-step instructions"The plastic case is clearly not the quality of the OEM original; however, for $20 hard to argue with it. Great value - outside you'll need to find a dealer/locksmith to cut and program the key and pay for this (the website provides a great selection of local locksmiths, plus you have local Honda dealer option). Might be best as a 2nd/spare key.One last item -- website encourages 'live chat'; however, it's not been operational last 24 hours (Tues-Wed).
