I really enjoy Keychron keyboards. I also want wired keyboard so no recharging worries and fast response. This keyboard is almost the best layout for me (main keyboard + directional Keys + volume knob). I love the volume knob and separate directional keys section and it doesn't take up my entire keyboard tray.Dislikes:1. LEDs do not enable the ability to see the labels on each key in lowlight2. LED settings tend to change without any configuration intervention - goes to the horrible 'Breathing' setting which is annoying.

My 11 and 14 year old absolutely love their Keychron keyboards. One got brown the other red switches. Very well made and sturdy. They "tape mod"ed it but other than that it is original. Great sound.

I love this keyboard. IT's been a great vehicle into building / customizing my keyboard, which is something I use a majority of my day. Working from my home office, entertaining myself in said home office, I am constantly using my keyboard. So, it was time to upgrade to something that would get the mileage.I made a few silly user mistakes, I didn't notice the Mac/Windows switch on the back side. Mia culpa. But, hey, that made this thing work perfectly right out of the box - once I'd swapped the keys!Though, that prompted me to do some troubleshooting, where I noticed a few things.Unlike the marketing material says, this keyboard is NOT QMK / VIA endorsed. Why? Because it's not listed on their supported keyboards list.It lists the Q-series as supported. Not the V-series. Which is an important consideration. While the V-series is an offshoot of the Q-series, soome changes no doubt have to be made to accommodate the different key availability. Function layers, etc. Not that the Q-series doesn't have this, but we would need some answers if we were going to go to base firmware.Which, while Keychron does a good job of trying to answer, it's not a perfect answer. And saying that this is a fully supported and implemented skew via QMK / VIA is not necessarily dishonest, but it's a hasty claim to make. One that might trouble a less experienced user.As such, I recommend this keyboard for serious enthusiasts who aren't afraid of flashing EPROM / BIOS / UEFI style devices, getting down with system documentation, and pulling keycaps/switches (though that one's easy.) If it works out of the box for you? That might also be a good consideration. But, if you have plans to take it to the next level, you will want to really be sure you're enthusiastic about this kind of stuff.

I'm a long time lurker, first time builder. I knew I wanted a keyboard. I priced out the bare bones version + switches + keycaps... it did not make sense to go that route. This keyboard feels quite premium for being plastic. My wife's first reaction was how heavy it is (in a good way). She's not much of an enthusiast but now wants me to build her a keyboard. So it starts...As for the build of this keyboard, the switches come pre-lubed which means you get to save yourself the time, money, and effort. Everything sounds quite premium with a nice deep thud. The spacebar is noticeably hollow, but upon searching the internet superhighway, that is a common problem with common fixes if one so desires to fix it. Turns out having a long rectangular piece of hollow plastic means the hollow plastic will sound hollow. Who knew.Good keyboard for the current price of $99! You may or may not care about the knob. If you don't care, save yourself $10 and get the version without it.
