I bought this product because my old remote control had been damaged, and it arrived super fast, I synchronized it perfectly with my Honda CRV 2008, and I am using it as if it were the original.

Used on my 2009 FIT. Works great as remote for door locks. I did not use metal key and therefore did not have key machined nor did not have dealer program car to use key only had to program door remote function (easy to do yourself. Metal key portion easy to cut off using hack saw (metal is soft) and then stub filed smooth against plastic (best to disassemble unit first). Do not listen to those here who say plastic is cheap as it seems as strong to me as OEM. In any event it is plenty strong enough to use as I have. OEM unit costs around $44 plus shipping. You do the math.

got this programmed and cut for 80$. not bad. but its only good as a spare key. would not use as a main key.

Paid $79 with taxes at the Honda dealership to cut and program the key. I ended up saving $40 by buying the key from Amazon versus the dealership.Result - The key will START my car on the ignition BUT doesn't fit in the car door. SO, of my battery dies on the FOB, I can't get in my car!!!! Hopefully I am close to store that sells key batteries !!!!Next time, and I hope there isn't one, I'm buying directly from the Honda!!!! That $40 savings can cost me so much more if my battery dies :(((((
