The E diag elite is a great scan tool , it is better than my matco scanner. Great to read codes and read freeze frame data. It is great to have when on the go without having to carry a big tablet. It has many functions like stream data to monitor data to compare many data values to known good values. It has the actuation functionality to help you control different components to help diagnose a bit faster. Good for the d.y.i or for the professional automotive tech who wants to carry a good reliable tool that is not as bulky as a normal size bi directional scan tool. Definitely a good scan tool to have in your bay. Great option for those new automotive techs who are just starting out and do not have the money to buy a 2k plus scan tool.

What can I say, it's a pretty cool little tool. Professional feel, definitely an upgrade over a cheap and basic ELM327 dongle with a free app (such as Veepeak with Car Scanner app). The Kingbolen Ediag Elite utilizes it's own app that has countless features and options with a sleek look. Still in the process of exploring, but overall, it does the basics (plus way more) that I want it to. If anything, it probably has more features than I want or need (I'm an at home DIY'er, not a professional mechanic). Best part is, the only cost of this tool is the initial purchase. There is no annual subscription or other forced upgrade options. This is the single biggest reason I chose this tool over the other popular affordable bluetooth bi-directional options such as Topdon, Thinkdiag, Launch, Mucar, Xtool (no sub but more $) and other more expensive mainstream basic options like Bluedriver (non bi-directional, no subscription fee but has much less features than this mini powerhouse Kingbolen Ediag Elite). I did a ton of research to find the most affordable bi-directional bluetooth OBD2 diagnositic device with no subscription fees, and this is what I landed on. Couldn't find anything else even close. App has an easy user interface and nice reports. One minor thing so far, would be the scan process is 'slightly' on the slower side (not unbearable, but seems like it could and should be much quicker), but wonder if this is something they'd be able to address with an update? If you're on the fence, give it a try. Customer service seems to be friendly and responds fairly quick if you may run into any issues. I'm sure they'd be willing to help solve a problem if you were to run into anything and may consider a return if you're regretting it (check with return policy first, not sure on that, don't take this as any type of advice). So far, I like it. Will continue to test it out and will update review if anything major is discovered.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the KINGBOLEN Ediag Elite OBD2 Scanner! This diagnostic tool has been a game-changer for me, offering convenience, efficiency, and ease of use.The Bluetooth connectivity allows me to operate it seamlessly with my phone, making it a breeze to navigate. The bluetooth connects to the device app, not your device itself. The setup process was straightforward, and the user interface is incredibly intuitive. While I'm still exploring all the features, I'm loving the freedom to learn at my own pace. The fact that it comes with lifetime updates and upgrades is a huge plus, ensuring I stay current with the latest advancements. The bi-directional control, CANFD protocol, and FCA AutoAuth capabilities make it a powerful tool for diagnosing and troubleshooting. Plus, the lack of subscription fees is a welcome bonus.Overall, I'd highly recommend the KINGBOLEN Ediag Elite OBD2 Scanner to anyone seeking a reliable, user-friendly, and feature-rich diagnostic tool. Its value for money is unbeatable, and I'm excited to continue exploring its capabilities.

Overall I would recommend. Yes it’s slow but for 100 dollars it’s to be expected. You basically get a professional level scan tool at a consumer price/quality. I was able to get live monitoring, bi directional tests, and even reprogram a key transponder. I tried it on three different cars and it worked well. With that being said the software is SLOW and buggy and will teach you to be patient. If you can get past that I think there’s a lot of value in this tool especially if it continues work down the line. With that being said customer support is TERRIBLE/Non existent. They must be on the opposite side of the globe because it takes a day to get an email back(time zone?), I had an issue and they answered me once before ghosting me. I basically had to figure it out on my own. But if you’re using this caliber of scan tool you best have some knowledge of your own or you could mess something up. 4 stars for the product 0 stars for the customer support.

I bought this to replace my old scanner tool and purchase a used car. I first tested it on my current car, a 2016 model. Holy cow - it takes HOURS to scan anything. I don't have time to run this on a vehicle at a dealership. Also, the app won't work unless you enable location services. This is maddening. Once I finally got the app set up and communicated with the device, I could turn off location services on my phone. But it's inexcusable that one must set up location services to use the app. This is a privacy nightmare. After all that, I found out how long it takes for the device to scan and do anything useful. It was a complete waste of my time.Find another solution. This one is not it.
