There is no round pegboard in this set for making Earth and the Moon, so you have the instructions and beads for it, but you’re unable to make it (which was very disappointing for my 6 y.o). Additionally, the square pegboard doesn’t match the pictures of the instructions (see the photo). I don’t recommend this product

I've been keeping an eye out for an affordable fuse beads starter set for a while, and this one fits the bill. I'm not interested in the patterns included, but they are fine if you've got a young person interested in getting started. Instead, I'm going to be hanging onto these until I get a wider assortment of colors to compose my own creations. The packaging is very good, although I would have preferred the case have a few small compartments molded into it - although it's small, it is easily reusable, sturdy, and has excellent clasps and hinges.Most, but not all, of the beads glow under blacklight and in the dark. The black doesn't, and the darker blue only does so faintly. The remainder do glow well, but the orange and pink beads are mixed. Less than 10% of the orange beads glow in the dark and about 75% of the pink beads glow in the dark. All of the pink glow under blacklight, but some glow pink and others glow yellow-orange. Each color is packaged individually, but glowing and not-glowing beads of the same color are packed together, so there will be some work to separate those out if you want particular results. It's also notable that the number of beads of each color varies, with probably about 100 of the orange and 200-300 of each of the other colors - light blue, dark blue, green, light green, yellow, pink, black, and clear.Overall, I would give this kit a 4.5. For my purposes, I'm rounding down because of the mixed glowing and not-glowing beads, but I think it's a 5 if you don't care much about how consistently the beads glow.

I got this for my classroom for the students who finish early and talk too much. Going to try and reroute their energy into their hands. We shall see. The kit looks complete. It’s got a lot of fun store inside and I can’t wait to have my students work on this.

this kit was wonderful! it came with enough beads to make all of the given designs! I do wish it also came with a round base plate to be able to create the circular templates, but it didn't say it did, so I can't complain too much. it looks like you could remake several of the templates with how many extra beads there are, which i think is a big plus! the beads melted quick and evenly with my iron on a low temperature. the only "downside" i noticed with them is that they are a little gummy and stuck to the tweezers and each other just the tiniest bit, but it wasn't too much of an issue. overall a great kit that i would buy again!
